A textbook example of enjoyment
In this former village school, a classroom has been transformed into an atmospheric holiday studio where characteristic elements have been preserved. The interior is a mix of industrial and rural style. From the studio you look out over the vast plateau of Margraten.
The spacious space is comfortably furnished with a kitchenette, en-suite bathroom, dining area, sitting area and two box-spring beds. On sunny days you can enjoy the view on the shared terrace. This studio is wonderful for a short stay, but also very suitable for a longer holiday. For a stay of a week you pay only six nights and for a stay of two weeks only 12 nights.
In addition to the stay, a tasty vegetarian breakfast can be booked separately. This will be brought to the studio between 8:00 and 10:00.

When we grow old
As a girl from above the rivers and a boy from the southernmost point of Limburg, we met each other in 1996 during our student days in Maastricht. We left the province with the promise to each other that 'when we are old' we would come back to live in the beautiful hilly country.
Although we are not (that) old yet, the opportunity arose in 2024 with a new job in Maastricht for Dirk. In the search for a house in the hills we came across the former primary school in Reijmerstok. We immediately fell in love with the place and the story about the school reinforced this feeling.
Until 2018, the primary school of the village of Reijmerstok was still in use. All children from the village went to school here from the early 1960s of the previous century and made beautiful memories for life here. Due to the shrinking number of pupils, the school was sold. Visual artist Esther Loffeld made the renovation her life's work and created two holiday apartments in the building in addition to a home. Unfortunately, she was not able to enjoy her work for long. She became ill and the building was sold.
We are so enthusiastic about the finishing and furnishing of the building that we have hardly changed anything. We now enjoy Esther's life's work and like to share this with our guests in our bed and breakfast.

In the area
If you like walking and/or cycling, you can indulge yourself in the beautiful surroundings. Maastricht and Aachen are about 20 minutes away by car and within fifteen minutes you have crossed the border with Belgium and arrived in the beautiful Voerstreek. For shopping, a terrace or a nice restaurant nearby, you can reach Gulpen or Margraten within 10 minutes. Region
